ACP’s are the highest level of Pre-Hospital Practitioners. ACP’s can perform many high level of clinical skills including but not limited to Advanced Cardiac Life Support including 3-15 Lead ECG Cardiac Monitoring, Defibrillation, Cardiac Pacing and Cardioversion; Advanced Airway Management including Endotracheal Intubation, Surgical Airways, and Invasive Choking Management with Magill Forceps; IV Therapy; Drug Administration – ACPs carry up tp fifty or more different Emergency Medications; Needle Chest Decompression; Wound Care including Suturing, CAT Tourniquets and Hemorrhage Control Bandage, Splinting; Oxygen Administration and More.
Primary Care Paramedics (PCP) providing Basic Life Support.
PCP’s are the mid-level of Pre-Hospital Practitioners. PCPs can perform skills which include: Cardiac Monitoring and Defibrillation; Basic Airway Management; IV Therapy; Drug Administration – GEMS PCPs carry a dozen Emergency Medications; Wound Care, Bandaging and Splinting; Oxygen Administration and More.
Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), providing Basic Life Support.
EMR's or Advanced First Aiders are the entry level of Pre-Hospital Practitioners. EMR’s can perform several skills which include: Defibrillation; Basic Airway Management; Drug Administration – GEMS EMRs carry a small selection of Emergency Medications; Wound Care, Bandaging and Splinting; Oxygen Administration and More.
Mobile Treatment Centre (MTC) on back of 4x4 Crew Cab Truck
4x4 Truck fully dependable and stocked with Medical Equipment as per Level of Scope of Practice and Occupational Health and safety code.
Thought we provide all levels of care to meet the needs of our clients, our recommendation for any remote and high hazard work greater than twenty minutes from the nearest hospital, is the highest level of pre-hospital care, that of the Advanced Care Paramedic, who can provide advanced emergency care out of a large pool of clinical skills and expertise, offering the highest standard of life saving interventions.

GEMS On-Site Clinic Services are staffed by qualified personnel who work to their full scope of practice and are regularly audited by management to ensure they maintain GEMS high standards while representing our business and our clients.
Our on-site Clinic service allows for enhanced treatment and assessment of patients requiring immediate medical attention and advanced care as well as in-depth after care.
